The rollers are cut on a CNC lathe from a solid piece of 2″ aluminum bar stock. It is incredibly durable. The polyethylene body protects the rollers from damage even if dropped. How well does it uncap darker comb?\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cem\u003eDarker comb is not as easy as newer comb, no matter what uncapping process you use. We do use it on old brood comb that has been filled. In stubborn\/dark\/old\/skinny frames, we have found that holding the frame at an angle during the uncapping process helps by applying more pressure to the comb than normally exerted by the devise alone. The UNCAPPER is fastened to the tank of your choice by as few as two screws or with “straps” on both ends. We use drywall screws but the type will depend on your specific application.
